IR temperature sensor mounts just where you want
One of the most striking things about the new Convir IL Series infrared temperature sensor is its small size; at just 105mm long and 25mm diameter it can easily be mounted just where you need it
Handheld infrared thermometers have laser sighting
A range of low cost, handheld infrared thermometers with laser sighting and a large backlit LCD display have various temperature ranges to suit different applications.
There are two models to choose from, with different temperature ranges to suit different applications.
The emissivity setting is fixed at 0.95, making the ST8818 Series ideal for most organic materials and non-shiny (painted, corroded or anodised) metals.
Readings can be taken in deg C or deg F, and when the trigger is released the last measurement is held for 7s before the unit automatically turns off.
The narrow, 12:1, field of view helps to minimise errors by providing a small diameter measurement area.
Model ST8818 has a temperature range from -50 deg C to +550 deg C, and model ST8828 measures from -50 deg C up to 1000 deg C.
Both units have a resolution of 0.1 deg C from -50 deg C to 199 deg C, and above 200 deg C they have a 1 deg C resolution - the change in resolution occurs automatically.
These rugged units will operate in ambient temperatures from 0 deg C to 50 deg C and are powered by a standard PP3 9 V battery.
The ST8818 comes supplied with a soft carrying case, and the ST8828 has a hard case for added protection when not in use.
With prices starting from as low as GBP 69.00 for the ST8818 model, these sensors are an extremely cost effective way to measure temperature quickly and accurately.
