Digital valve developer Camcon Technology has announced that it has appointed McColl Partners, a US-based investment banking firm, to pursue strategic partnerships.

Camcon Technology, the UK developer of the digital valve, today announced that it has appointed McColl Partners, a US-based investment banking firm, to pursue strategic partnerships on its behalf worldwide Camcon has developed a ground-breaking digital valve called the Camcon Binary Actuator

The Camcon Binary Actuator has addressed two major world issues, namely optimising engine efficiency and maximising the output from oil wells.

Camcon is targeting its intellectual property at the oil and gas market to improve the efficiency of oil recovery from oil wells.

It is also targeting vehicle engine design to improve the efficiency of diesel and petrol engines by controlling the engine electronically, rather than through the mechanical control of the camshaft.

Camcon has charged McColl Partners with developing relationships with international organisations, aimed at accelerating the commercialisation of Camcon's intellectual property and deployment of the technology in the automotive, oil and gas and other industries as rapidly and broadly as possible.

"Camcon's technology is so extraordinary that the full market potential is best realised by an arrangement with a multi-national company that can bring substantial marketing and financial resources to complement Camcon's ground breaking science.

McColl Partners has the track record and relationships worldwide to help us maximise the opportunity for our technology," said Danny Chapchal, chairman, Camcon.

"In view of the remarkable success that Camcon has had with forging new business relationships, it has appointed McColl Partners to seek new strategic alliances," said Phil Colaco, managing director and co-founding partner of McColl Partners.
