The CMSC Society invites metrology users from leading manufacturers and laboratories to submit proposals for application white papers covering their successful, efficient use of 3D coordinate measurement systems.
All white paper presentations will be reviewed by the CMSC and considered for publication in the Journal of the CMSC.
For more information on making a presentation at CMSC 2006, contact Robert Clem at 316-523-2472.
The CMSC is the only North American conference dedicated solely to users of portable, high-precision measurement technology for the inspection of manufactured and assembled components on the factory floor.
Each year during the weeklong event, the CMSC community convenes to gather information and attend white paper presentations delivered by their peers.
Last year's presentations were delivered by industry leaders from General Dynamics C4 Systems, The Boeing Company, John Hopkins University, National Optical Astronomy Observatory, the NIST Precision Engineering Division, ASTM International, and more.
A wide variety of metrology topics and applications were presented at the 2006 CMSC from surveying antennas in sub-freezing temperatures on Black Island in Antarctica, to measuring thruster location and direction for the NASA STEREO Solar Science Mission, to the data acquisition and modeling of a British cannon recovered from the Battle of Yorktown.
CMSC is attended by users, service providers, and OEM manufacturers of close-tolerance, portable industrial coordinate measurement systems, software, and peripherals.
Conference attendees hail from prominent science/research laboratories, and diverse industries such as aerospace, space hardware, antenna, automotive, shipbuilding, power generation, and general engineering.
