The Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference Society has announced workshops for the annual conference to be held from July 16-20, 2007 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.
The Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) Society, the membership association for measurement professionals, has announced an expanded line up of advanced workshops planned for the annual Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference 2007 The workshop schedule includes: 1) G D and T techniques using Data from Modern Metrology Devices presented by Multi Metrics, 2) Product Acceptance Testing of Metrology Hardware and Software presented by the Boeing Company, 3) Best Practices in Portable Measurement presented by industry service companies, and 4) Full Consensus Standards for 3D Imaging Systems presented by ASTM International

Record Attendance at CMSC 2005
Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) 2005 Finds Record Attendance and Hospitality in Austin, Texas
CMSC 2007 will be held from July 16-20, 2007 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.
The conference is the only North American event dedicated to portable measurement and inspection of manufactured and assembled components on the factory floor.
CMSC Conference attendees also have the option to take a guided tour of Fallon Naval Air Station and Virginia City Tour on Friday, July 20th.

En route to the guided tour of Fallon Naval Air Station, a tour guide will discuss the history and characters of Northern Nevada.
The Fallon NAS is home to the Fighting Saints of VFC-13, the Desert Outlaws of Strike Fighter Weapons Det., and the Naval Strike and Air Warfare centre.
The air station is known throughout the Navy as the "only facility in existence where an entire carrier air wing can conduct comprehensive training while integrating every element of the wing into realistic battle scenarios".
The 14,000-foot runway remains the longest in the Navy, making Fallon a one-stop training facility.
The tour will continue west to historic Virginia City with tour guide narration along the way.
A box lunch and brief driving tour of this former silver rush town are included on this leg of the trip.
Visitors can stroll Virginia City's wooden sidewalks of yesteryear and visit many boutiques, saloons, galleries and museums.
The trip back to Reno will take the Geiger Grade route with panoramic views of the Washoe Valley, Reno and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Non-United States citizens must provide country and passport numbers to the CMSC registrar.
Registration for the Tour ends at midnight Thursday, July 12, 2007.
The 2007 Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference will unveil new white paper presentations delivered by industry experts to explain the successful application of 3D coordinate measurement systems.
