MSC has already successfully completed the New Product introduction (NPI) process for Comtech's EUR-MODEM-24 and OEM-MODEM-34 products, and has subsequently taken these products into high volume manufacture.
The two companies are now working on the NPI of Comtech's new OEM-GPRS-2, a GPRS/GSM OEM module optimised for use in embedded Machine-to-Machine (M2M) applications, with high volume manufacture planned for mid-August.

Comtech (Comtech Holdings) design and manufacture communication infrastructure solutions for Machine-Machine (M2M) applications, enabling connectivity to remote equipment, to obtain and facilitate business decisions based on real-time information.
The company have created mWEAVE software for Enterprise Management integration, mWEB hardware (GSM/GPRS, ISDN, ETHERNET and PSTN) for remote equipment integration and ISP services that automatically transport information between remote equipment and back office management systems using Internet Protocols.
