Torque indicator software allows
customisation
The modular software construction in the latest Crane Electronics torque indicator and data collector enables the user to customise more closely match requirements.

Torque system ensures correct tightening
An essential requirement of a torque control system was to recognise those engines which require additional tightening of an exhaust manifold before they are fitted to the vehicle.
There is no need to pay for functionality that will not be used.
Additional software modules can be added at a later stage as needs change.
TorqueStar Opta features a clear and easily read graphic LCD display and all the software is multi-lingual.
The intuitive icon driven menu structure allows the operator to quickly navigate through the set-up of the unit and the standard Quick Read function enables measurements to be taken with just two key presses straight out of the box! It is constructed from a high strength injection moulding for rugged shop floor use and a protective rubberised trim has been incorporated to alleviate the risk of secondary damage to components.
It has a compact design and is lightweight.
For portability around the shop floor the TorqueStar Opta is supplied compete with a neck strap.
An RS232 output is standard and a barcode reader can also be used.
TorqueStar Opta is available in both standard and fast charge versions.
The basic TorqueStar Opta, without additional software modules, operates as a simple readout with no data storage, but features switchable autoprint of time and date stamped readings.
Three software modules are currently available - basic storage; advanced storage/SPC; graphs.
Each module adds enhancements to the basic units.
Basic storage and statistics offers a 200 reading memory enabling simple statistics to be viewed and printed.
The advanced storage and SPC module adds full jobs and rounds functionality and requires the basic storage and statistics module to be enabled also.
The graphs module enables the TorqueStar Opta to display run-down traces of the fastening process.
There is also an optional OptaComms, which is a combined package.
With it, the Opta unit can be set up for PC connection whilst Crane PC communications software allows the archiving of data to a PC and the creation and maintenance of Opta job files on the PC. Request a free brochure from Crane Electronics ...
