Digital wrench can be comprehensive
auditing tool

With the introduction of a versatile digital wrench there is now no need for engineers to specify a separate digital torque wrench and data collector, said Crane Electronics.

With the introduction of Crane Electronics' new ProWrench Opta there is now no need for engineers to specify a separate digital torque wrench and data collector ProWrench Opta combines both and also gives the user the flexibility to customise the tool to his specific requirements

If these change, he can upgrade the wrench at a later date by purchasing extra software modules.

It can therefore be used as anything from a simple digital wrench to a comprehensive auditing tool.

ProWrench Opta is the latest member of the Crane Opta product family.

It uses the same software functionality and an intuitive menu driven structure as other Opta products and ensures user friendly operation.

It is a highly specified digital torque wrench with two measurement modes for both peak and real-time torque.

In peak mode both upper and lower limits can be set, so that the integrated LED display shows HI, OK or LO fastener status with optional audible alarm.

An extremely useful new feature is the graphical representation of applied torque in 'real-time'.

With the help of a bar graph, the operator can see how much torque he is applying and whether the correct level of torque has been reached.

Again, upper and lower limits can be set for this feature.

Another key feature is that ProWrench Opta is point of load insensitive.

This means the operator is assured of correct measurement, however the wrench is held.

Either a dovetail (Sturtevant Richmont) or DIN standard version can be supplied.

This gives a wide range of head attachments to meet the assembly requirement.

ProWrench Opta is rated at IP55 which means its enclosure is protected against water being projected from any direction.

When the ProWrench Opta needs to be upgraded with additional software because the customer's requirements have changed, the upgrade can be provided without sending the wrench to the manufacturer.

The user simply enters a new operational code.

Bi-directional communication between the ProWrench Opta and the user's PC system is ensured with the OptaComms software which empowers him to manage and share data. Request a free brochure from Crane Electronics ...
