success
The chance to find how Airbus UK is successful is being offered at a meeting at its GBP 350 million Broughton factory for an industry summit that will ask the question: 'What makes Airbus fly?'
Anyone who thinks British manufacturing is in its death throes should take a look at Airbus, which is now beating the Americans by making more planes than Boeing Britain's leading industrialists will have the chance to find out for themselves how Airbus UK made this happen when they meet at its GBP 350 million Broughton factory on 3rd February for an industry summit that will ask the question: 'What makes Airbus fly?'

The event will be hosted by Airbus UK's manufacturing director Brian Fleet MBE, chairman of the North Wales Aerospace Group.
Joining him in the debate will be such influential figures as Derek Simpson, Joint General Secretary of Amicus, Professor Keith Hayward, Head of Economic and Political Affairs at the Society of British Aerospace Companies, and Peter Stokes, CEO of STG Aerospace.
Delegates will also be making their own contributions in an open forum session.
The debate will be chaired by Philip Butterworth-Hayes, who is the editor of Jane's Aircraft Component Manufacturers and writes on airline and aerospace issues for The Wall Street Journal.
'What makes Airbus fly' will be held at 'The East Factory', Airbus UK, Broughton, North Wales, on 3rd February 2004.
