At the recent Maintec 2003 Maintenance Exhibition a thermographic inspection window demonstrated the detection of a fault in electrical switchgear.

At the recent Maintec 2003 Maintenance Exhibition, at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre, Cockburn Thermal Imaging were exhibiting With their stand focusing on their patented C.T.I

Cyclops Thermographic Inspection window, visitors could see a real time demonstration of their Infrared Sightglasses with one of Cockburns specially designed demonstration unit.

The unit was set up, complete with 'dummy' electrical fault, inside the purpose built piece of electrical switchgear.

The switchgear was fitted with C.T.I.

Cyclops Inspection windows, and through those windows, the tripod mounted Flir Thermal Imaging Camera was imaging real time through the Cyclops, and detecting the switchgears apparent fault.

All of this was apparent to passers by as the cameras image was projected onto a large screen TV.
