Servo drives have intelligence and
feedback

A range of 1.1kW to 132kW servo-drives is claimed by Control Techniques to have unprecedented connectivity, feedback options, intelligence and functionality.

At the UK's Drives and Controls 2008 exhibition, Control Techniques will show its latest drives range, the Digitax ST It is a range of servo-drives with what Control techniques said has unprecedented connectivity, as well as feedback options, intelligence and functionality

The Digitax ST range consists four models, each with industry-leading features.

A brand new drive family will also be making its European debut, key features of the yet to be revealed range are its IP20 and IP54 ratings and power range of 1.1kW to 132kW.

The Unidrive SP range of high performance drives includes large free standing cubicle drives, modular input and output power units plus panel mounted drives.

New product developments include the launch of a real-time Ethernet module, SM-EtherCAT is for use with Control Techniques' full range of AC and servo drives from 0.37kW simple conveyor or pump control, through high precision servo applications to high power 1.9MW multi-mode drives.

What Control techniques claimed is the most powerful easy drive in the world, the Commander SK, is available from 0.25kW up to 132kW.

Commander SK requires up to half the foot print space and volume compared with other drives of the same power rating, said the company.
