Furnace Investment Enhances Manufacturing Capacity
CorinTech has invested in a Fast Fire Furnace for the manufacture of thick film hybrids, multichip modules, chip scale packaging and a variety of precision sensors applications.
However in response to customer demands the CAD capability has been extended by the investment in the Cadstar professional PCB design system.
The new software was chosen for its ease of use and improved cross platform interfaces combined with its larger installed user base in Europe/ Asia.
Additionally it is still being actively developed and evolving as a designer's tool giving increased confidence in the systems future.
To further increase the systems capabilities and productivity for micro packaging design in particular, the Cadstar package has had custom Thick Film Resistor and Crossover design routines written.
This investment will enhance and improve the overall service and responsiveness of the design team to its customer's challenges, and will not only dramatically increase the design capacity of the engineering department but allows for a far more flexible and seamless interface with its customers.
The speed and ease of transfer to the new design platform has been well ahead of initial projections and it is now planned to purchase a further 2 seats later in the year.
Whilst Cadstar represents the future business direction, CorinTech both recognises and is committed to supporting its customers with VuTrax.
Hence the legacy CAD system will be retained for the modification of earlier designs and for those customers who still currently prefer that format.
