Cognex product gains Control Engineering
award

Control Engineering magazine has selected the Cognex IDMaxT Direct Part Mark Identification, on the basis of high read rates, for the annual Editors' Choice Award.

Cognex, the world's leading supplier of machine vision systems and vision sensors, has announced that Control Engineering magazine has selected IDMaxT for their 18th annual Editors' Choice Award IDMax was selected by Control Engineering's editors from the thousands of products featured in the magazine last year

As one of only 40 to win the coveted Editors' Choice Award for 2004, IDMax is among the most significant innovations featured in Control Engineering.

This is the third time a Cognex innovation has won this prestigious award, which is based on service to the industry, technological advancement, and market impact.

IDMax is designed for Direct Part Mark Identification (DPMI), a fast emerging segment of the industrial ID market that involves directly marking parts with two-dimensional (2D) Data Matrix codes, then reading those codes quickly and reliably throughout the production process.
