Pickled copper sheets checked by machine vision
Cognex says that Wieland-Werke AG, one of the world's largest copper strip manufacturers, has integrated Cognex's SmartView ICN web inspection system on its copper pickling line in Germany.
According to Gognex, delegates will be able to learn how vision technology can reliably inspect the integrity of packages, accurately identify components for traceability and ensure labels and codes are present, correct and legible.
They will also discover how machine vision can improve product quality and reduce manufacturing costs.
The 45 minute seminars will demonstrate how machine vision technology can be used to variable print inspection, date, batch and price code verification, overprint registration checks, print quality assessment and package verification and conformity, as well as incorrect, missing or damaged labels, missing or cocked cap or seal and damaged or missing products.
In addition, other checks include those fof product traceability, including package and product identification and 1D barcode and 2D data matrix code reading.
ITS and Cognex will use real examples to show how to use vision systems and demonstrate what they can do to help.
Those will include an understanding of how the past barriers of cost, ease of use and performance of vision technology have been overcome, as well as providing examples and demonstrations of real applications, coupled with the change to learn how vision systems can be integrated in to existing control networks.
The seminars are free and places are limited so ITS and Cognex cannot guarantee availability. Request a free brochure from Cognex UK ...
