Spindle nose tooling, encompassing all major front and back end styles, offers exceptional accuracy and quality at a highly competitive price.

Crawford Collets, premier supplier of tool and workholding equipment, is expanding its range to include spindle nose tooling in order to further its ability to provide its customers with the complete tooling solution to production problems It also anticipates that this development will enable it to take maximum advantage of the increased confidence in the engineering market

Crawfords is now the exclusive UK distributor for Mickros Plus spindle nose tooling, a product which offers exceptional accuracy and quality at a highly competitive price.

The range encompasses all major front and back end styles, including Ansi/DIN 69871, BT, HSK and DIN 2080.

It is manufactured using only high quality steels.

All tools are available to 0.005mm TIR as standard with extended items and products for high-speed applications being manufactured to 0.003mm TIR.

Advantage to the end-user is that high accuracy spindle nose tooling is now available at a significantly reduced cost.

This enables more companies to achieve realistic payback times from high quality tooling, assisting them in remaining competitive and profitable.

Using the Mickros Plus spindle nose tooling in conjunction with the Crawford ER collets enhances the guaranteed accuracies of 0.006mm TIR for the off-the-shelf ER collet range.

In a recent field test by a respected aerospace sub contractor, an off-the-shelf Mickros BT40-ER32 collet chuck was fitted with an off-the-shelf collet and a T.I.R reading of 0.0026mm was achieved consistently.

The user - commenting that he could not believe what he was seeing - ordered immediately the test was completed! MD of Crawford Collets, Gerry Wilkin, commented "We are delighted with this development.

It will further increase our ability to provide our customers with solutions to their problems at a realistic cost and will ensure we can continue to improve our own profitability".
