Metal cutting fluids, described as 'ready to use', cover metal cutting, tapping, reaming, drilling and turning and their performance is claimed to be exceptional.

CRC UK has expanded its range of metal cutting lubricant products Ambersil metal cutting lubricants have been marketed under the 'Tufcut' brand for over 20 years as a 'ready to use' metal cutting, tapping, reaming, drilling, and turning lubricant

The Tufcut range benefits from significant research and development, and product performance is claimed to be exceptional, having been approved for use for machining composite materials by Augusta Westland Helicopters.

2007 sees a double celebration for the Ambersil Tufcut range with the new introduction of Tufcut Foam, and the re-launch of Tufcut Compound.

Tufcut Foam uses the original Tufcut liquid delivered in a specially formulated aerosol allowing the liquid to foam gently on contact with the work piece or drill bit.

The foaming action allows the active lubricating compounds to adhere to vertical surfaces, minimising runoff and wastage.

Additionally, the foam provides a longer contact time on the work area, helping deliver the lubricant and cooling compounds to precision and close tolerance work areas.

Tufcut Compound is a thick paste-like product particularly suitable for either manual application to work areas or 'dipping' of drill bits in prior to machining.

Tufcut Compound is being re-launched with updated Ambersil livery to match the rest of the distinctive Ambersil branded MRO range.

Launched initially in an aerosol for precision application to work pieces and tools, it was quickly joined by a bottled version, and then a paste compound in the mid-1990 due to customer demand.

The range has remained stable since then with recent years showing growth in excess of 20% year-on-year as metal workers discover the benefits of using Ambersil Tufcut.

Ambersil products are available through a comprehensive national, regional, and local network of distributors.
