Calorimeter for remote monitoring of steam traps
ARI-Armaturen has announced a calorimetric test system, CONA-Control, for the constant remote monitoring of steam traps allowing the early detection of malfunctions.
Commenting on the new product, Tony Harrison, Operations Manager at ARI-Armaturen, Tewkesbury, said, "We know that extreme valve longevity coupled with our product's 'zero energy loss - zero pollution operation' will significantly increase process plant efficiency, as well as leading to reduced operational costs and improved environmental protection.
"Designed and developed at our international headquarters in Germany, the new Faba Longlife valves take our conventional 'maintenance-free' concept to a higher level," Harrison added.
The Faba Longlife isolation and regulating valves have been specifically designed for a wide range of general industrial and process liquid and gas applications, including steam and condensate; hot and cold water systems; compressed air and other gases including ammonia; hot oil systems; and process products including toxic and thermal fluids.

ARI-Armaturen has invested significantly in new product development resulting in a world-beating range of bellows sealed valves.
The new Faba Longlife valve boasts many new features, including: * A double wall bellows seal - for guaranteed longer life.
* A fine thread spindle - producing an even greater closing force that is 100% leak proof.
* Two rings of emergency packing - to protect against unforeseen failure and prevent unplanned shutdowns, the valve will continue to operate until repair can be scheduled.
* Premium materials - the bonnet of the Faba Longlife is made from superior nodular iron GGG-40.3 which has a higher-performance and is tougher than cheaper grey cast iron versions.
* Lubrication capability - if required this bellows sealed valve can be lubricated, unlike other bellows valves on the market, through direct lubrication of the spindle thread via a grease nipple.
* Robust hand wheel - an enhanced design provides longer life and greater operational safety.
* External spindle threadd - located outside the bellows, this guarantees operational reliability even at high temperatures.
Accredited by the Lloyds Register Quality Assurance and manufactured to DIN ISO 9001 standards, quality is an important factor for ARI's bellow valves.
The FABA Longlife is also approved to DVGW and meets all the requirements of TA-Luft (German Technical Directive on Air Quality Control).
The Faba valve can be manufactured as silicon-free, and has been approved by automobile manufacturers for use in paint shops.
Continuous research and development of the bellows sealed product range has resulted in a wide range of models, materials, sizes and connections.
Body materials include cast iron, SG iron and carbon steel, in straight, inclined and angle patterns.
Sizes range from DN15 to DN400, and can be supplied to both DIN and ANSI standards with flanged, socket and butt weld connections.
Numerous options include stroke limiters, and locking hand wheel covers to suit a wide range of applications.
