Two high performance neat grinding oils are designed to minimise the misting problems caused when high-pressure fluid delivery systems are used with today's high-speed grinding processes.

Castrol Industrial has introduced two new high performance neat oils to its grinding range Variocut G600HC (for normal grinding operations) and Variocut G650HC (severe grinding operations) are environmentally-friendly and specially designed to minimise the misting problems caused when high-pressure fluid delivery systems are used with today's high-speed grinding processes

In a number of different grinding applications where the new Variocut oils replaced conventional products, both have reduced oil consumption by more than half, doubled the life of grinding wheels and significantly reduced operating temperatures, odours and consumption of filtration paper.

As well as minimising misting to improve working conditions and provide better visibility of the workpiece and tool area; both oils are also free of heavy metal and chlorine .

Additional HS and E benefits include low flash, low odour and low aromatic content, which also contribute to a safer and healthier working environment for the machine tool operator.

Castrol has also provided an enhanced additive package to ensure that operational advantages such as greater machining efficiency, significantly extended tool life, improved surface finish and reduced product consumption, are available across a wide range of materials.
