Accelerometer has MEMS silicon capacitive sensors
The CTA001 accelerometer from Celsum Technologies uses MEMS technology, micro-machined silicon capacitive sensors, and is available with ranges from +/-2g to +/-225g.
The CDL01-USB can supply the excitation current for sensors such as strain gauges, load cells and pressure transducers up to 300mA from the computer's USB port, or up to 600mA using an auxiliary power supply.
It has a maximum resolution of 21 bits (1 part in 2,097,152 or 0.00005%), and a maximum sampling rate of 50,000 readings per second, ie 50 kHz.
The counter input has a resolution of 32 bits and a maximum speed of 5 MHz.
The analogue inputs range from +/-10 mV through to +/- 10V full scale.
The CDL01-USB is supplied in a robust aluminium case measuring only 92mm x 57mm x 20mm, with a 26-pin D-socket for field connections to sensors .
Amongst the available accessories is a screw-terminal break-out box to enable easy connections, adaptor cables, customised wiring harnesses, and an independent sensor excitation power supply.
Roy Carter, Celsum Technologies' Managing Director, said, "We are very excited about the CDL01-USB.
This is an excellent instrument that can be quickly connected and configured to take readings from a wide range of sensors, and, via its digital and analogue outputs, can be used to control the subject equipment".
"It complements our range of instrumentation, and has many applications in research and development, quality control, testing, and process monitoring and control". Request a free brochure from Celsum Technologies ...
