Mini Gears pecialises in the manufacture of all kinds of gears and racks and is currently expanding its ground gears section for high-speed applications.
Subcon takes place in Hall 3A at the NEC, Birmingham, from 16 to 18 May and aims to make sourcing suppliers easy for any buyer of subcontract manufacturing services.
Subcon's scope now extends well beyond the traditional areas of machining and metal forming to cover all aspects of subcontract manufacture - including areas such as electrical and electronic assembly, design and development, surface engineering, plastics moulding, casting, forging and rapid prototyping.
The latest addition to the best practice stream is a presentation by Adrian Doughty, Supplier Quality and Development manager, Paccar Europe, the international manufacturer of trucks under the Leyland, DAF, Peterbilt and Foden nameplates.

UK subcontracting show, Subcon 2005, has attracted the support of highly respected organisations from such a wide range of industries and technologies.
Subontracting show has machine tool zone
UK subcontract manufacturing exhibition will feature a complementary Machine Tool Zone to give machine tool companies the chance to reach a wide range of high-level buyers.
Doughty will be looking at the whole area of supply chain groups - what they are, who pays for them, how they help to eliminate waste, add value and bring other benefits to the business.
Two presentations are adding even more weight to the global sourcing sessions.
Patrick Gilabert, programme manager for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) subcontract exchange supply chain centres (SPX) will be looking at global trends in outsourcing, how to work with SPX centres and giving case studies from India, China, South America and the Middle East.
Nearer to home, Hana Chlebna of CzechInvest will be looking at the investment environment in the Czech Republic.
Finally, in conjunction with the appearance at the show of the Quicksilver World Water Speed Record attempt boat, Quicksilver, Subcon is hosting a special technical presentation on the engineering background to the attempt.
Dr Daniel Ruiz, technical programme director, will explain how the project plans to deliver ultimate levels of performance in an extreme environment using state-of-the-art collaborative techniques and balancing commercial and technical imperatives to develop a closely integrated supply chain and production team.
Subcon runs from 16 to 18 May in hall 3A at the NEC Birmingham.
The seminar sessions are free to attend with places bookable online and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
