Subontracting show has machine tool zone
UK subcontract manufacturing exhibition will feature a complementary Machine Tool Zone to give machine tool companies the chance to reach a wide range of high-level buyers.
By bringing together so many different strands of manufacturing under one roof, Subcon gives buyers a single point of contact to source all their subcontracting requirements." As well as providing practical marketing assistance to their member companies, the supporting organisations will be making a strong contribution to the complementary conference streams and sessions in the presentation theatre.
"Our supporting bodies will be part of the fabric of Subcon 2005, and their contributions will help companies address the issues facing UK manufacturing.
I think the fact that we have bought these seven leading associations on board in only a few short months underlines the importance and value of this event," added Jon Hughes.
Nearly two-thirds of the visitors to Subcon 2004 came specifically to source new suppliers, and over a quarter of the visitors had an annual budget for outsourcing of more than £1 million.
And for many exhibitors the show is a chance to meet buyers they would never normally have the chance to see.
To make Subcon an even more useful sourcing tool for buyers, the event will now be held every year rather than every two years, with Subcon 2005 being its first outing as an annual exhibition.
"In today's global economy, buyers need up-to-date market knowledge on which to base their strategic outsourcing decisions," says Jon Hughes.

This move aligns it with the international circuit of annual subcontracting exhibitions - the result must be wider exposure for exhibitors and more choice for visitors.".
