Subcon builds business for gear making
Mini Gears pecialises in the manufacture of all kinds of gears and racks and is currently expanding its ground gears section for high-speed applications.
Customers include blue-chip companies in the areas of commercial and military defence radar, electronic test equipment and medical devices.
Since 27th January the company has a new owner and managing director, Andy O'Hara, previously a customer of PAB, who has a strong record of leading successful businesses in the medical technology sector.
As Sales Director Les Howells explains, the new ownership has brought with it new investment in the company, including a new £1 million surface mount line and refinements to quality systems.
PAB has also taken on extra staff and developed its IT infrastructure.
"We can now produce much finer pitch devices, which means we can work in areas that we couldn't go for before and are already talking to new customers," says Les.
"And because of the links our new MD has with his other businesses we can offer a fully-accredited design service and have access to an enhanced R and D facility. Request a free brochure from Subcon ...
We can now offer a much more complete manufacturing service and the IT investment will allow us to distribute products on behalf of our customers to their customers.".
