FI Engineering has launched a new version of Source Tool on-line in order to streamline quotes for custom-made parts and assemblies, selection of suppliers and supplier notification.

FI Engineering has launched a new version of Source Tool The tool will streamline the creation of RFQs (Request for Quotes) for custom-made parts and assemblies, selection of suppliers and supplier notification

The Source Tool enables buyers in manufacturing to source suppliers of custom made parts and assemblies in the UK.

With the Source Tool buyers can reduce the time it takes to send out RFQs and be sure that they get the best supplier for the job.

The new version, Source Tool 1.15, has a new RFQ wizard to speed up the RFQ creation.

Documents and drawings can be uploaded for the suppliers to view which means that the buyer can receive quotes direct, even for complex designs.

With the new Source Tool the buyers will have complete access to all the suppliers in the FI Engineering network and can view comprehensive profiles of their history and capability.

"In a recent user group forum, the new feature received the thumbs up from senior buyers in the UK, it will give them much better access to UK suppliers", says Hans Wigart, FI Engineering CEO.

The new features are: RFQ Wizard - Tool for creating and specifying RFQs, ability to add any drawings and documents related to the RFQ, for the supplier to view.

Supplier Selection - Access to the largest network of subcontract manufacturers with search and filtering tools to pinpoint the right suppliers.

Supplier profiles can be viewed with history, contact details and capability.

RFQ Manager - Management of old and new RFQs posted through the Source Tool.

Supplier response can be monitored and additional information or documents can be added and communicated to the suppliers. Request a free brochure from Subcon ...
