It is available with the high-performance DynaTouch (DT) sensor for active single-point measurement and with the Vast XT sensor for multi-point measurement of size, form and position.
Vast XT also offers active scanning and single-point measuring facilities, and with its high-speed, high-point density capability, is suitable for all applications in curve and free-form metrology and reverse engineering.
It can be equipped with extensions of up to 500 mm, supporting styli weights of up to 500g.

The new Contura G2 is a next generation bridge-type CMM, whose two configurations allow users to select the sensor best suited for their application without having to compromise on accuracy." Both Contura G2 models offer x, y, z measuring ranges of 700 x 700 x 600 mm to 1000 x 2100 x 600 mm, and are available with a 'U-stone' option that increases the effective measuring range in the Z-height to 800 mm.
Each is available with Carl Zeiss' industry standard CAD-based scanning software Calypso, and its extensions Gear-Pro for gear measurement and Blade-Pro for blade measurement.
Calypso can be also combined with Zeiss' HOLOS software, designed for the measurement of 3D surfaces.
