Both companies will merge their activities and operate as one.
DataCore founder and president Brian Sallade is to be named COO of BlueCielo ECM Solutions in North America.
The announcement was made at BlueCielo's annual Americas User and Reseller Conference in Florida.
The merger of the two companies is part of BlueCielo's aggressive growth strategy to provide integrated ECM solutions to specific vertical markets such as energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, government, life sciences and manufacturing.
The acquisition of DataCore will support BlueCielo's plans to accelerate growth and meet customer demand in a booming market.
DataCore's activities in recent years have been predominantly centreed around BlueCielo's line of products.
"As a global solutions provider, BlueCielo aims to intensify its contact with clients and provide professional services, both directly and in continued collaboration with its resellers," said Martijn Janmaat, BlueCielo president and CEO.
"Our fresh focus on providing integrated solutions for specific vertical markets will mean tight integration with business applications like MRO Software's maintenance management software Maximo and the development of industry-specific asset management solutions that support relevant regulatory compliance".
