Semi-automatic stretch wrapper offers economy
Cyklop UK has announced a semi-automatic pallet stretch wrapper with touchscreen control for high throughput and economical film usage.
The D-53 is simply pushed up to the load via buffers and the wheels locked in place.
The strapping head is then moved by light touch control to the required height, with the operator taking the strap around the load and feeding it back into the other side of the strapping head.
The machine then automatically tensions, seals and cuts the strap in the optimal position to minimise waste.
To negate any possibility of damage to the product or container, both the length of the strap dispensed and strapping tension are easily controlled by turning a knob.
The machine can also be operated manually via push button control for more complex applications, for example, when edge protectors need to be inserted between the load and the strap.
Here, the operator can retract and tighten the strap at will to achieve the appropriate tension before sealing using the external control lance.
Available as either mains or battery powered, the Cyklop D-53 can accommodate polypropylene strap of between 6mm and 16mm, depending on the application, which is heat sealed for fast, reliable load securement.
It can cope with pallets up to 2318mm in height.
David Hearn, Managing Director of Cyklop UK , commented: "The D-53 is a highly cost-effective option for any company needing to strap fragile product for protection or perform horizontal strapping at differing heights and in multiple locations".
"It is fast and easy to use, while offering effective use of the consumable and saving considerable time over hand strapping.".
