Semi-automatic stretch wrapper offers economy
Cyklop UK has announced a semi-automatic pallet stretch wrapper with touchscreen control for high throughput and economical film usage.
The former Sales Manager at Bowater Containers and Sales Director at Smurfit Corrugated says one of his first steps will be to get his feet on the ground and start meeting existing and prospective customers.
He is no stranger to travel, having spent the past four years as Marketing Manager Europe for the ITW Protective Packaging Group, during which time he made around 175 trips abroad.
It was during some of these trips that he came into contact with Cyklop's Scandinavian operations and gained a good ground knowledge of the company's range of strapping, stretchwrapping, binding and taping equipment.

Looking to increase awareness about Cyklop's entire UK range of stretch wrappers, Chris says he will initially be focusing his attention on promoting the GL 205 and GL 215 series of semi-automatic machines with eco stretch, which he believes have the greatest short-term growth potential amongst companies that are looking for shelf-ready solutions and for whom health and safety compliant packaging issues are becoming of increasing concern.
"Companies, particularly those in the food and logistics warehouse industries, are increasingly looking for palletised loads to be stretch wrapped to fulfil safety, efficiency and space constraints," he says.
"At the same time they need to consider economy, and time and labour requirements, all of which our machines meet and exceed.
Even with many years in the industry I am looking forward to the new challenge and to raising awareness about Cyklop the company and Cyklop the packaging solution.
"Networking is the key and I am no stranger to getting out and meeting people.
The buzz of making new contacts is as strong now as ever, and I believe it's time people knew more about Cyklop and what our off-the-shelf or bespoke packaging solutions can do to meet the increasing demand for better packaging," he adds.
David Hearn, Managing Director said: "I am delighted that Chris has agreed to join our team to promote Cyklop's range of semi and fully automatic wrappers.
"Cyklop UK are best known for it's range of automated strapping systems so very few are aware that we also produce a comprehensive range of wrappers which are ideal for the majority of our UK markets.
"With Chris now firmly at the helm this lack of awareness is about to change.".
