Semi-automatic stretch wrapper offers economy

Cyklop UK has announced a semi-automatic pallet stretch wrapper with touchscreen control for high throughput and economical film usage.

A semi-automatic pallet stretch wrapper, offering high throughput and economical film usage, has been introduced to the UK by Cambridgeshire-based Cyklop UK .

Ideally suited to the requirements of industries as varied as food and drink, fresh produce and white goods, the Cyklop GL300 is a modular unit that uniquely offers optimum consumable usage through Cyklop's acclaimed Ecostretch system, which will pre-stretch film by up to 400 percent, in eight stages.

The GL300 is a turntable wrapper which can handle loads of up to 2000kg, with integral load weighing function, and is ideally suited for those companies with high load output where efficiency and economy of film usage is paramount.

The system allows for soft start and stop to hold the turntable in any position, while all motors are frequency controlled - a key feature when designing special wrapping patterns.

All controls are via touchscreen panel, enabling fast and simple alteration of program parameters and settings.

The display shows the total amount of film used to wrap the previous load in both metres and weight, while nine individual wrapping programs can be named and stored.

All functions can also be manually set if required.

The Ecostretch pre stretch system ensures the selected pre-stretch ratio remains constant, consistently guaranteeing low film consumption.

Film carriage speed is individually adjustable to minimise film overlap, and the GL300 even allows different tensions to be set for the top, middle and bottom of the load, essential for light loads or irregular shaped goods with sharp edges.

Further options available include an integral access ramp, string roller which binds goods more tightly to the pallet, film clamp for attaching the film to the table, and floor frame which lowers the table to floor level for access without need for a ramp.

Purchasers can also specify a round or rectangular top plate - ideal for holding unstable loads in place - an extended chassis, for wrapping pallets with overhanging loads, and a table of 2000mm diameter, for wrapping larger pallets.
