Engraving machine uses YAG laser too
Italian manufacturer of engraving machine tools and equipment has introduced a multi-tasking machining/laser engraving centre and a very novel self-loading workholding system for engraving machines.
Cielle, based in Pero di breda di Piave, Italy, specialises in engraving machines and equipment and has developed a multi-tasking mechanical and laser engraving centre The company said that the machine will produce engraved features - using mechanical and laser cutting - in hot-forging/stamping tools adding and finishing characters, logos and small graphics

Acu-Rite will be demonstrating its family of ergonomically designed digital read outs along with MILLPWR, its two and half axis control system at the EMO show.
The machine - the 60x50 Gamma Dualtech, is able to produce highly accurate lines and finely detailed graphics.
The Gamma Dualtech has a 10.5kW machine spindle working at 0-30,000 rev/min and a Nd:YAG 200W laser.
A 3-axis marking head ensures correct focussing on the whole work surface (up to 200mm x 200mm).
The spindle is served by an automatic tool changer and a nine-tool magazine.
The dimension of the mechanical engraving table area is 600mm x 500mm.
* Universal rotating vice - Cielle has also developed a universal rotating vice - the Orbiter Cielle Ciclo Continuo - with automatic loading.
It can be fited to all makes of CNC engraving machines.
The vice allows brass and other workpiece metals to be processed in a continuous cycle - 24h/day - without interruption.
If installed on a Ciello CNC engraving machine, the Orbiter Cielle Ciclo Continuo controls itself, checking for tool wear and breakage, and so allowing unmanned operation.
* Engraving software - Cielle has also developed its 'Correct Draw' software, which allows the automatic correction of graphics imperfections (intersects, overlaps, gaps, etc) in the most common vertical graphic formats and generates DXF files ready for the main engraving programs.
