Data Translation's Scope 2.0 provides a Multi-channel Oscilloscope together with Real-time FFT and a 16-Channel-Strip-chart, all within an easy to use graphical user interface

Data Translation today announced the inclusion of Scope 2.0 on the free Omni CD for data acquisition This free software, available for download, presents a Multi-channel Oscilloscope together with Real-time FFT and a 16-Channel-Strip-chart, all within an easy to use graphical user interface

"Because the market is dominated by large, complex packages for graphical programming, simple operation is usually out of the question," said Nigel Doe, UK Sales Manager.

"With Scope 2.0 Data Translation goes 'back to the roots' of data acquisition".

Scope 2.0 was designed to resemble conventional measurement instruments, rather than a drag and drop Windows approach, in accordance with conventional oscilloscopes and strip-chart recorders.

The GUI is functional and easy to use, the procedures follow the logical method of confirming the hardware to be used, configuring and selecting the channels (up to 16), and choosing the method of measurement, Oscilloscope (time series display), FFT (frequency domain) or Strip-chart.

Key features of the Scope 2.0 software: * Switch channels to vary sample rate, amplifier gain, activate measure cursors etc.

* Auto scaling provides optimum signal scaling.

* Adjustable trigger level.

* Pre-trigger function for monitoring measured signals.

* Full display or two window display option.

* Export data to Excel, Word or other evaluation programs.

* Generate and configure prints with "Print Screen".

Scope 2.0 is based on the Open Layers software structure which means that itūs compatible and easy to configure with all Data Translation PCI-Bus or USB data acquisition modules.

Scope 2.0 is included on the Omni CD for data acquisition that ships free with all Data Translation PCI and USB data acquisition products.

The Omni CD is also free to download from the website.
