PartMaker CAM programs mill-turn centres
Delcam has launched the latest version of its PartMaker family of software, which now offers programming of turn-mill equipment and Swiss-type automatic lathes.
"Delcam's PowerMILL has established a strong industry position for 3- and 5-axis milling of moulds and dies," commented the report's author, Alan Christman.
"The toolpath generation speed is impressive and a wide range of machining strategies is available." Christman was also impressed by the fact the Delcam operates an in-house Toolroom.
"It is the only one in the industry," he reported.
"Through its use, Delcam software developers can obtain a better understanding of product requirements, gain real-world experience with the products, and test new releases." Commenting on the results, Delcam's Managing Director Hugh Humphreys said, "I am delighted that our position has been confirmed as the leading international supplier of specialist NC software and services.
We are now undertaking three main initiatives to ensure that we can continue to build on our leading position during this year."
