Delcam will sponsor the Cyber Cafe during the World Foundry Congress to be held in Harrogate from 5th to 7th June.

The Cyber Cafe will feature 12 internet-ready PCs, allowing delegates at the Congress to keep in touch with their businesses during the event.

Delcam will also exhibit at the Foundry, Furnaces and Castings Expo that will run alongside the Congress.

The company will demonstrate how its range of CADCAM software can help both designers and manufacturers of castings to increase productivity, improve quality and reduce lead times.

Held every two years, the World Foundry Congress is a highly prestigious event that attracts up to 800 delegates from the global cast metals industry.

The Congress is organised by the World Foundrymen Organization, an umbrella body of 35 national foundry organisations.

The 67th World Foundry Congress, which is being organised in Harrogate by the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers, will be the first time in over 35 years that it has been held in the UK.

The theme for the Congress will be "Casting the Future".

Around 120 technical papers will be presented focusing on the latest technology used by the leading castings producers and the future developments under way at research and academic centres.

Delcam's presentation will highlight the company's adaptive machining techniques that allow more efficient finish machining of castings and more accurate repair of damaged tooling or components.
