Delcam to show five-axis machining made easy at high-technology open house
Delcam will demonstrate the ease of five-axis programming in its PowerMILL CAM software at a high-technology open house to be hosted by The Engineering Technology Group at its Southam showroom on 15th, 16th and 17th November Features like the auto-tilt option in the latest release of the software have made five-axis programming far easier than ever before

CAM aids twin spindle milling of wing ribs
Delcam will show at the UK's forthcoming Farnborough Air Show examples of milling of Airbus A320 wing ribs using CAM developed for a CNC twin-spindle milling machine.
The Group, which includes Chiron UK, distributors of high productivity machining centres, and Turning Technologies, distributors of Nakamura-Tome high precision turning centres, will use the event to demonstrate its ability to deal with the manufacturing of complex and high-value parts, found in high technology industries such as motorsport and aerospace.
Chiron will be running high-speed demonstrations of various machines including the new Mill 1250 5-axis, ideal for the manufacture of large aerospace components; the Mill 800 5-axis; and the FZ08, one of the fastest machine tools in the world.
Announcing the open house, Richard Blake, Managing Director for Chiron UK commented, "The UK is a world leader in both the motorsport and aerospace industries".
