Delcam will host the GTMA UK 'Emerging Technologies 08', which will cover injection moulding, rapid prototyping, die-less forming, EDM, thermoforming and cryogenic treatment.

Delcam will host the GTMA 'Emerging Technologies 08' event at its Birmingham, UK, headquarters on February 13 The free-to-attend meeting will include presentations on a range of new manufacturing technologies, including details on the progress in a number of European projects in which the GTMA is participating

Topics to be covered include the following.

* injection moulding.

* Rapid prototyping.

* Die-less forming.

* EDM.

* Thermoforming.

* Cryogenic treatment.

"The variety of presentations will support cross fertilisation of technology between the GTMA sectors," claimed Scott Phillips from the GTMA.

"The presentations will give delegates an opportunity to learn more about the new and emerging technologies within manufacturing that could provide their companies with a competitive edge".

Phillips added: "Knowledge gained from the event should be useful to decision makers so that sound strategic decisions concerning new technologies can be made.

More junior staff can benefit by having the chance to tap into the knowledge of the experts that will be presenting".
