DSG lathe company restablishes itself
Following a management buy-out, the UK lathe manufacturing company with a long hisotry, Dean, Smith and Grace, intends to restablish itself and orders are already coming in.
"My ambition is to put Dean, Smith and Grace back in its rightful place as a world leader in machine tool design and manufacture," says new 'DSG' managing director, Nigel Grainger, after a management buy-out of the Keighley, West Yorkshire-based Company The appointment heralds a total makeover of the Dean, Smith and Grace brand and a complete new era for the company as Nigel sets out to drive the business forward with a bold new plan of strategic investment, product development and expansion of the company's facilities

He adds: "While serving my apprenticeship at Rolls Royce, part of my training was spent working a 'DSG' lathe and I have been an admirer ever since".

The company has already launched a new range of Siemens-equipped, Type 1508Ci and Type 1508Di compact CNC lathes and this will soon be followed up by further product developments.
While introducing the completely new, compact CNC lathes, Dean, Smith and Grace has revamped and upgraded its Type 2413, Type 3624 and Type 4432 series, heavy-duty CNC lathes and continues to produce its famous large capacity Type 25P and 30P dual-manual/CNC lathes.
Dean, Smith and Grace also retains its unrivalled capabilities in rebuilding lathes, milling machines and other precision machine tools to 'as new' standards, with the very latest CNC control system of customer choice.
