CNC lathe series launched and revamped
Having already launched a range of comapct CNC lathes, Dean, Smith and Grace has revamped and upgraded an existing series of heavy-duty CNC and manual/CNC lathes.
CNC lathe has exceptional swing and bed length
Exceptional swing capacities and bed length - ideal for demanding turning applications within the oil and gas production sector - feature a heavy duty, flat bed CNC lathe.
Keighley-born Richard brings to the role 28 years' worth of machine tool and sales experience and is the key man for processing initial sales enquiries and preparation of quotes.
Being a local man he is keen for the company to return to its former glories: "I remember as a child watching literally hundreds of people leaving the factory at end of shift, and, though those days are gone forever, I hope to do my part in ensuring the company continues its current progress." Richard is joined by another locally-born man, Roman Hrabar, who is appointed company buyer.
From ball bearings to balls of string, Roman is the man who can source them, consolidating his experience in previous machine tool sector buyer posts with Newall Aerospace and Binns and Berry.
Roman too, relishes the opportunities that Dean Smith and Grace offers: "I feel the company has a real buzz about it and genuine potential for the future." Away from work Roman is a champion crown green bowler, being a former British Parks champion and Yorkshire Parks champion on several occasions.
Both men join a company that has been rejuvenated over the last two years.
After an initial makeover of the Dean Smith and Grace branding and livery, incoming managing director, Nigel Grainger, has overseen a complete overhaul of the complete product range - including the launch of new aerospace and pipe lathes, which entered their respective markets at the very highest levels.
Links with the rest of the world have also been strengthened, with Dean Smith and Grace authorised agencies having recently been established in Australia, New Zealand, France, Pakistan and the USA.
