Control system on standard nut and bolt feeders allows easy integration into automatic and robot resistance welding systems and has a memory chip for data protection and program up/downloading.

Dengensha Europe, the European subsidiary of the Japanese resistance welding equipment manufacturer and supplier Dengensha Manufacturing Co, has introduced a number of new standards and options on its equipment A new control system on all standard nut and bolt feeders for easy integration into automatic and robot resistance welding systems

All standard feeders will now be supplied with a Siemens Logo PLC to control the feeding cycle.

A feature of the new PLC is a memory chip for data protection and program up and downloading, eliminating the need for users to change operating parameters or back up programs via a laptop.

The Company is also able to supply a control system which features a Siemens Simatic S7 programmable controller with a Profibus interface, removing the need for hard I/O control cables from the user's own in-house PLC.

Customised diagnostics are easily provided, all parameters can be defined in advance and full program information via the user's HMI is available.

Remote I/O and Fieldbus Systems can also be supplied to customers' specifications.

To meet the requirements of the European market, Dengensha Europe has also recently introduced a 230V 50Hz power supply option on all its nut and bolt feeders.

A further development is the introduction of a new nut feeding head allowing the feeding of non-magnetic stainless steel nuts for the first time.

It is designed for M6 and M8 nuts and, during the feeding cycle, does not use a magnet to hold the nut to the spindle as in previous heads.

Dengensha Europe, with its experience and knowledge in resistance welding and the applications required to automatically feed weld nuts and bolts onto users' tooling, is now able to tailor its complete range of feeders to suit the individual build standards required for both mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment used in the automotive components industry.
