Deutsch has won The World Motorsport Symposium's Most Innovative Product for 2006 Award for their range of double density connectors at The RAF Museum at Hendon.

Deutsch, a provider of interconnection solutions, won The World Motorsport Symposium's Most Innovative Product for 2006 Award for their range of double density connectors Hosted by Race Tech Magazine, the Awards Dinner was held at The RAF Museum at Hendon in North London in November 2006

David Watters, Deutsch's Head of Autosport, said: "I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of Deutsch UK.

The Autosport division of Deutsch UK is dedicated to supporting the needs of the ever-changing requirements of top-level racing.

Over many years Deutsch UK has been at the forefront of new connector designs, being first to implement them specifically into the Autosport market." "Our connectors are used by all the top level racing teams and we are pleased to be associated with these prominent names in the industry.

Deutsch connectors have a proven track record for quality and reliability, hence their use in some of the harshest environments in motorsport.

The double density range of connectors is our latest innovation for the Autosport sector.

It is very gratifying to be recognised throughout the industry with this prestigious award." Deutsch's family of double density connectors are specifically designed for autosport and brings benefits of space and weight, both highly prized when packaging is such an issue on the modern racing car.

The complete range includes the 06-09, 8-11, 10-23, 12-41 and 14-64 double density connectors, all of which are optimised for the AWG24 to AWG30 gauge wire.

The benefit of the double density range is that the designers can use a connector that is up two shell-sizes smaller than the standard range, reducing the size and weight of the harness.
