MVI Technology acquires Portico
Software's assets
Manufacturing software company MVI Technology has acquired the "Production Analyser" business intelligence and process automation software intellectual property from Portico Software.
Manufacturing software company MVI Technology Limited formally announces its acquisition for an undisclosed amount of the "Production Analyser" business intelligence and process automation software intellectual property from Portico Software (in liquidation) For use in real time performance monitoring, the software reduces changeovers, energy bills and identifies and corrects performance issues as they arise

Steve Hudd, former Chief Executive of Portico Software and now Director of MVI Technology added: "The deal with MVI Technology provides the vital data-capture and data historian link necessary to populate the Production Analyser OLAP engine, not only with production run data from automated systems but also taking into account the vital human context necessary to identify cause and control improved performance going forward." Simon Girling of Numerica's Bristol based Business Recovery Group, acting as Portico's liquidators, concluded: "The MVI team put in an impressive and compelling case for the purchase of the software IPR.
We believe that the creditors and investors in Portico will soon see the benefit of MVI's acquisition.".
