Storage company assumes all JMR system business

Digi-Data Corporation, an innovator and developer of storage solutions for mid-tier, secondary storage and fixed content markets, announces an agreement with JMR Electronics to assume all of its systems business in an OEM deal with the Chatsworth-based enclosure manufacturer.

Under the agreement, Digi-Data will assume all the JMR systems business.

Digi-Data will continue to market the JMR 42-bay SATA enclosure to both JMR and Digi-Data's existing base of channel partners as an additional part of Digi-Data's product line.

JMR will continue to build and market a wide range of storage enclosures for OEM storage solutions manufacturers, including Digi-Data.

"This arrangement will enable JMR to return to its core business," says Mitch Guzik, COO for JMR.

"At the same time, it will provide its existing channel partners with access to the products they were buying from JMR through Digi-Data, a company with a broader support structure in complete storage systems sales".

Tom Fabrizio, Digi-Data Director of channel sales explains, "Digi-Data will be able to offer a higher level of systems support while continuing to market the popular JMR 42-bay enclosure to JMR's and our own dealer base".

"JMR was already marketing the Digi-Data T-2000 controllers with the 42-Bay JMR enclosure, so it's a smooth transition for all the dealers concerned".

"It's a win-win for both companies".
