With the increasing demand for its services, ArchivaSports was in need of a storage solution that was reliable with high bandwidth.
Subscription members often store entire seasons of sporting events, driving the need to respond to high demand at times.
ArchivaSports looked to its parent company, Concentia Digital, for a solution.
"We needed a storage solution that would be very high-bandwidth as viewers would need to see the footage without any glitches".
"Plus, it had to be flexible to grow with our business," says Derrick Lewis, president of ArchivaSports and former pro basketball player.
"We feel we are well protected with Digi-Data".
"Its systems are fully redundant and easy to expand when we need the capacity".
Concentia Digital already had its flagship digital assets management solution, Media Archive System (MAS) in place at ArchivaSports.
To increase performance, Concentia contacted Digi-Data to implement a solution that would be fast, reliable and scalable.
Digi-Data installed the T-2000 controller.
Digi-Data's T-2000 is a scalable, clustered RAID storage system used for rapid growth or high performance environments.
Up to four controllers can be clustered together to store up to 840 TB, with 32 fibre Channel ports for simultaneous access.
"Digi-Data controllers and disk arrays are the perfect solution to meet the performance and growth requirements of ArchivaSports," says Dennis Cindrich, president and CEO of Digi-Data.
"The archiving system won't outgrow its storage capacity or bandwidth requirements, avoiding the disruption of major system upgrades".
