Datalogic, a member of the Oracle Mobile and RFID Community, has received certification for its Datalogic Jet professional PDAs and its full range of Windows CE mobile devices The certification means that Datalogic users can now integrate with the Oracle ERP suite using the Oracle Lite interface running as a terminal emulation application on its devices

This guarantees interoperability with Oracle's Warehouse Management System.

Oracle Database Lite 10g enables access to critical information and applications without requiring continuous connectivity to back-end enterprise systems, to increase efficiency, productivity and responsiveness of mobile workforces, reduce costs and improve customer service levels.

With Oracle Database Lite 10g, Oracle users can leverage Datalogic's mobile computers to obtain a secure and reliable technology architecture that can enhance performance and scalability to support thousands of simultaneous users.

In addition, this solution from Oracle makes the mobile computers ready to synchronise data on a local database on the mobile computer with the central database and enables Oracle application components to be installed on the devices themselves.

"We are very satisfied with the projects that are being developed with Oracle and the results achieved so far," commented Francesco Montanari, Datalogic Business Unit director - Mobile Computers.

Datalogic and Oracle, worldwide leaders in their respective areas, are constantly finding important synergies in the field that strengthen our collaboration.

"We are pleased to team up with Datalogic, one of the leaders worldwide in the filed of data capture," stated Oscar Gridavilla, Oracle Business Development Pervasive Computing director.
