Optical measurement software update adds
support
a major update of optical measurement software includes added support for the innovative Firewire LineScan Camera from Baumer Optronics and more robust image processing tools.
Digital Inspection Systems (DISL) will be launching a major update of Scorpion Vision Software at this years Photonex Exhibition Scorpion Vision Version 3, whose imminent release by Tordivel of Norway will include many new capabilities including added support for the innovative Firewire LineScan Camera from Baumer Optronics together with improved and more robust image processing tools, better colour support, easier and faster toolbox management, more examples - ethernet io and tcp/ip communication ++, better help files and improved DirectX support

Scorpion Vision software is now available at a heavily discounted price to universities and other academic organisations as well as students.
Photonex04 is the UK's premier optics and photonics event and will feature the Imaging Science and Vision and Laser Technologies exhibitions under one roof at the Stoneleigh Park Exhibition and Conference Centre in Coventry on the 6th and 7th of October 2004.
DISL and Tordivel will be presenting a talk for the Technical Programme during Photonex04, 'Low cost multi camera machine vision solutions using Firewire' DISL, Tordivel AS's UK partner, will be running a series of free seminars to demonstrate the software and the ease with which a full blown machine vision application can be created at very little cost.
The first seminar is scheduled to take place at the University of Warwick on the afternoon of 5th September 2004.
