A 'getting started' industrial machine vision course gives overview of PC based vision technology, covering cameras and interfaces, and instructs on machine vision systems design and set-up.

Digital Inspection Systems is hosting the next 'getting started' industrial vision course in Southampton, UK, during October This two day course starts with an overview of PC based vision technology, covering cameras and interfaces on day one, with tips and techniques on how to illuminate the subject and how to lay the framework for a robust and accurate automatic inspection system

Day two covers more advanced ground and goes in depth into how to use the Scorpion Vision built-in toolset, covering the advanced blob tool, pattern matcher, template finder, colour matcher, scripting and many other advanced vision tools and techniques.

* Who should attend - the course is for quality managers, process and production engineers and system integrators.

Scorpion Vision said that this course will be of interest to both novices and experts alike.

For the expert: If you have been looking for a new way of creating vision applications from scratch using standard PC components then you'll find this an invaluable experience as we'll show you how to create your own application just using your laptop and a low cost camera.

Bring photos of your vision project with you and the chances are you'll complete the course with a completed project! For the novice: If you know nothing about machine vision and have an interest (professional or personal) in knowing more, then this is an ideal place to start.

Scorpion Vision is a non programming environment, so you can create vision applications using Scorpion without any prior programming expertise.

You'll complete the course well equipped, with the ability to create your own inspection or quality assurance system.

Bring a laptop PC equipped with Windows 2000 or XP and a mouse.

We'll provide an evaluation license (fully working) at no cost.

Scorpion Vision Software Training Courses.

The next scheduled event will now be taking place on the 5th and 6th of October (previously the 4th and 5th).
