The DMC50H offers all the features of a horizontal centre that are required by the flexible, highly efficient manufacturers of large and small series.
Thanks to its compact construction, it requires little space.
The rugged travelling column construction featuring a closed column, powerful 'Y' axis slide and an integrated ram-type spindle ensures high cutting forces and machine dynamics.
All assemblies are closely ribbed and some of them have a very robust honeycomb structure.
Oversized side walls give the machine bed additional stiffness and permit fast and safe three-point installation without specific foundation requirements.
The machine is equipped with the proven disc tool change system with a 40 tool capacity and has impressive chip-to chip time of 3.7 seconds.
The DMC50H is equipped with an NC rotary positioning table and can be positioned in increments of 1 degree.
As an additional option, a continuously positioning NC rotary table as a 'real' B-axis is also available which measures the path directly with considerable accuracy.
The integrated pallet changer facilitates work piece change-over times of a mere 6 seconds.
The DMC50H is available with a series of options to complement the range of applications.
In addition to the NC rotary table, these include the hydraulic clamping fixtures, internal coolant supply through the spindle, tool breakage control or in-process measuring via measuring probe.
The digital Sinumerik/Simodrive package from Siemens ensures that every operator is able to enter information in his/her own language.
