Linear motor drives VMC boosts productivity by 20%
Highly precise, gantry configuration VMC features highly dynamic linear drives in all axes with 2G acceleration and 90m/min rapid traverse that bring productivity increases of up to 20%.
For those who were unable to attend the last EMO, DMG is staging a British re-run, complete with several machines never before demonstrated publicly in the UK.
In total, eleven machines will feature showing a wide range of machining solutions and four of those are brand new.
Highly dynamic linear drives in all axes with 2G acceleration and 90m/min rapid traverse are the features of the new DMC 75V linear that enable it to achieve productivity increases of up to 20%.
The highly stable gantry construction and direct measuring systems, in conjunction with the high speed Heidenhain 3D iTnc 530 control, provide ultimate precision.
Optional, simultaneous 5-axis operation is realised by a swivel axis in the spindle head and an NC rotary table.
The flexibility of the machine is complemented by an optional automatic pallet changer and a 120-station tool magazine.
Simultaneous 5-axis, 5-sided machining is equally the preserve of the machines in the eVolution series.
At MACH this range is represented by the DMU 50eV whose higher dynamics allow productivity increases of 20% or more to be easily achieved.
Minimal floor space, greater stability and optimum ergonomics are the key features of the renowned DMU T series of universal 5 axis machines from Deckel Maho, and the new model DMC 60T based on the solid monoblock construction of the DMU T series, will be on the stand having the added advantage of a rotating palette changer and a milling head with 150 degrees swivel range for the highest flexibility.
One of DMG's best selling vertical machining centres with work spindle speed of up to 10,000 rpm - the DMC 63V with new Fanuc control - completes the milling exhibits' list.
Ultrasonics - ultrasound supported machining of 'advanced' materials in the fort? of the DMS Series.
By comparison with conventional methods, this machine design leads to a five-fold increase in productivity, longer tool life and at the same time, improved surface quality and greater machining flexibility.
At the NEC the DMS 35 Ultrasonic will demonstrate boring, 3D milling and grinding, optionally with three axes.
MACH 2004 - April 19-23 - NEC Birmingham, UK.
