A whole range of accurate, highly productive and versatile horizontal machining centres, shown at EMO 2005, have a patented, rugged structural design.

In the new DMC H Series, Deckel Maho has transferred the superior qualities of its patented duoBLOCK design to the sector of horizontal machining centers The full spectrum of possible applications is now available to the user through various design features and expansion levels

Beginning with the horizontal precision centers DMC 60 H linear and DMC 80 H linear, as the 'fast' machines in the series, continuing with the versatile DMC 70 H duoBLOCK, and followed by the powerful machines of this series, the DMC 80 H duoBLOCK, the DMC 100 H duoBLOCK and the DMC 125 H duoBLOCK.

This portfolio in the horizontal sector contains a wide range of diverse automation solutions, such as an RS4-pallet magazine, from Deckel Maho, as well as complete TurnKey projects for large series production with integrated complementary processes.

* The 'fast' machines - the horizontal precision centers, the DMC 60 H linear and DMC 80 H linear, are the fast machines in the series from Deckel Maho, offering up to 20% faster cycle times.

The machines provide superior performance with linear drives on all axes, up to 1.6G acceleration and 100m/min.

rapid traverse, a motor spindle in SK40 or HSK63 design with the impressive torque of 119Nm, and rotational speeds of 18,000 rev/min, as well as the very short chip-to-chip times (2.8s).

In addition, a fast pallet changer offers the ideal interface for expanded automation, moving the machine in the direction of a production cell with a pallet station, or a chain-linked production center.

Wherever you need the greatest possible speed and best repeat accuracy in serial production, the DMC H linear machines set the standard - regardless of whether aluminum or steel needs to be machined.

Highlights of the fast machines - DMC 60/80 H linear * Highly dynamic linear drives on all axes.

* Z-travel up to 1050 mm.

* Accelerations up to 1.6G.

* Rapid traverse speeds of 100m/min.

* Chip-to-chip times of as little as 2.8 s.

* NC-rotary table with up to 90 rev/min * Well suited for aluminum and steel machining, motor spindle accelerates to 18,000 rev/min in 1.6s.

* Special magazine for five tools, with up to 800mm.

length.

* Standard-equipped with a tool magazine for 45 tools, optional 354 pockets.

* Standard with 40-bar internal cooling unit, 900 litre tank, chip conveyor, paper band filter and Rotoclear.

* 3-point support and crane-hook design for simple set-up.

* Operator-door opens wide for easy access to work area.

* Minimum maintenance requirements due to easy-access maintenance unit.

* Patented duoBLOCK design.

* The 'Versatile' machines - the DMC 70 duoBLOCK is the new versatility champion among horizontal machining centers, with unbeatable performance for the workpiece range with heights up to 900mm.

The new dynamics package (option) provides up to an additional 20% time savings, with fast rapid traverses up to 80m/min., high acceleration of 1G, and shorter chip-to-chip times.

A wide range of applications is made possible with various spindle alternatives at no extra cost, for performance milling with 10,000 rev/min high-speed applications with 18,000 rev/min, and an innovative tool design for up to 354 pockets.

In addition, the DMC 70 H duoBLOCK comes standard equipped with a 40 bar internal coolant supply, 900 litre tank, chip conveyor and paper band filter.

Highlights of the versatile DMC 70 H duoBLOCK: * 20% faster with a dynamics-package (optional): even faster rapid traverses of 80m/min, higher acceleration of 1G and shorter chip-to-chip times.

* More machining options due to a larger work area: machining of workpieces with heights up to 900mm.

* More power and more speed: main drive as SK40 motor-spindle with 10,000 rev/min and 286Nm (40% duty cycle), or with 18,000 rev/min and 119Nm (40% duty cycle).

* More flexibility and shorter idle times due to innovative tool handling: standard-equipped for tool lengths up to 550mm and up to a maximum 15kg (SK40) plus wheel magazine with 45 pockets - optional chain magazine for 60, 120, 180 tools, or offers a wall magazine with tool lock and rotating wall for setup of 2 x 30 tools parallel to production time.

* The 'Powerful' machines - for customers with combined requirements for heavy metal removal and utmost precision, the new 'powerful' DMC H duoBLOCK Series machines are the right choice.

The DMC 100 H duoBLOCK machine for is setting benchmarks in the industry with a cubical work area of 1000 x 1000 x 1000mm., drive power of 44kW, torque of 1,240Nm and a tool magazine for up to 354 tools.

Additional characteristics of this innovative machine are the capacity for tool lengths up to 650mm., the fast rotary pallet changer with up to 1,500kg load per pallet and the standard-equipped production package.

Highlights of the powerful machines - DMC 80/100/125 H duoBLOCK: * Large work area: pallet size: 1000 x 800mm.

(630 x 630mm for the DMC 80 H).

High maximum load with up to 1,500kg.

* Transmission spindle with up to 1,240Nm and 44kW, high acceleration, thread boring without counter chuck.

* Tools up to 650mm.

and 30kg, chip-to-chip times of 5s, chain magazine with up to 180 pockets or wall magazine with up to 354 pockets, as well as tool lock and rotating wall for setup of 2 x 30 tools parallel to production time.

* Systems technology - workpiece-specific large series production or typical job-order production, with product ranges changing daily frequently requires additional expansion options for the DMC H duoBLOCK machines, to ensure higher efficiency for your production.

The optimally integrated automation solutions are therefore no less impressive than the horizontal machining centers from Deckel Maho.

Customers can select from a complete range of systems engineering solutions, beginning with automatic pallet changers and flexible manufacturing cells with 4x and 8x pallet magazine - up to systems with pallet and tool handling via gantry loaders and robots.

In addition, DMG offers turnkey projects for large series production with integrated complementary processes, such as workpiece cleaning or quality control.
