Digital servo amplifiers get smaller,
stay smart
With space around the plant at a premium, digital servo amplifiers keep on getting smaller and make use of every cubic centimetre to ensure that all extensive functionality is available.
The new Servostar 300 series makes use of every cubic centimetre to ensure that all of its extensive functionality is available, even in very tight situations The six amplifiers from 1,5A to 10A are only 246mm high, 70mm wide and 171mm deep

Linear guides combine precision and longevity
Miniature linear guides that offer high accuracy and longevity in order to enhance production efficiency provide extremely smooth, 'whisper quiet', single rail operation.
Self lubricating ball screws break 20,000h barrier
A self lubricating ball screw has been successfully tested for over 20000 hours continuous operation.
With plugs the range 208.400V fits into a 250mm cabinet and the range 115.230V only needs a 200mm cabinet.
In spite of the small dimensions, Servostar 300 integrates more functionality and a better drive performance.
A well structured Windows-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) that runs with Windows 95/98/2000/ME/NT/XP makes the drive easy to program via an RS232 interface.

Digital brushless drives offer simplified tuning
Believed to be the first all digital industrial drives with a velocity loop bandwidth up to 800Hz, brushless servos offer increased system throughput and simplified tuning.
A "Setup-wizard" leads through the basic parameters, so the drive runs after a few minutes.
A multi interface slot ensures the connection to the automation environment via PROFIBUS DP, SERCOS, DeviceNet or Ethernet and CanOpen is onboard.
Optional cards like Single Axis Controller or I/O expansion are designed to solve every application.
The integrated position controller has a cycle time of only 250 ęS.
180 motion blocks can be stored in the servo amplifier, there are 16 types of homing, four position registers, and speed profile/register control is possible.
These features can reduce the need for additional CNC functions.
The position controller integrates motion tasks, absolute and relative movements.
There are adjustable windows, to follow up errors and the InPosition signal.
For extra safety, an additional digital input (AS-Enable) inhibits the power output stage of the amplifier.
As long as a 24V signal is applied to this input, the output stage is ready to operate.
If the AS-Enable input goes open circuit, power will no longer be supplied to the motor, the drive will lose all torque and coast down to a stop.
Combine Servostar 300 with Danaher Motion's synchronous servomotors and all the important accessories such as prefabricated cables, gearboxes and power supplies, and users get a complete digital drive system from a single source.
