Danaher Motion's new 500 Series of Ball and Roller Profile Rails are designed for easy integration into new and existing applications.

Danaher Motion's new 500 Series of Ball and Roller Profile Rails are designed for easy integration into new and existing applications Common features between the two series include increased rail straightness, simpler installation, greater accuracy, quieter movement and easier customisation

This ensures improved operational efficiency and cost savings with many equipment types, including machine tools, materials handling, precision measuring, industrial robots, food processing and industrial automation.

Available in six carriage designs from 15 to 45mm, the 500 Series Ball Profile carriage and rails are produced from high quality bearing steel.

Three different accuracy classes allow for easy customisation, while multiple straightening processes both during and after grinding of the roller paths ensures improved machine accuracy for all users.

At the same time, use of a special trapezoidal profile that maximises carriage cross section results in industry leading rigidity.

500 Series Ball Profile balls only make contact at two points between rail and carriage, resulting in quiet, smooth operation.

Internal grease pockets extend bearing life, while each carriage end cap comes with four lubrication inlet options for easy optimisation of system performance in the field.

The 500 Series Roller Profile rail enjoys the same material quality, accuracy and straightness as the Ball Profile rail.

A back-to-back bearing arrangement is complemented by special rollers that are crowned in order to prevent roller edge loading when misalignment is present.

This ensures superb system rigidity.

Increased contacting surface across the length of the roller ensures an increased load capacity over the Ball Profile rail, with lower wear.

Running smoothness and low noise are the result of a proprietary inert moulded recirculation path that has an optimised geometric shape and minimal transitions.

Multiple lubrication options, with six inlet points in the end cap and additional internal options for directing grease or oil to the proper locations, make field modifications simple.

Both the 500 Series Ball Profile Rail and the 500 Series Roller Profile Rail come with low friction double lip seals and longitudinal seals that completely encase the bearing carriage to protect track surfaces and minimise lubrication loss.

Additional metal scrapers or wipers, lube blocks and oil reservoir components for both can easily be added on-site, in the field, directly from the factory.
