Organisers of the UK's Electrical engineering exhibition Electrex say the event is continuing to attract interest from top-quality exhibitors.

Electrical engineering showcase Electrex is continuing to attract interest from top-quality exhibitors Eland Cables, VoIptech and EEIBA have all recently signed up for the show, which takes place at the Birmingham NEC from 16-18 May

The Electrex exhibition has a long history, stretching back over 50 years.

Electrex 06 will be co-located with the biggest manufacturing and engineering trade exhibitions in the UK, including Drives and Controls, AirTech, Subcon and the first National Electrical and Electronics Directives (NEEDS) conference.

Eland Cables has been supplying high quality electrical cables and accessories for over 30 years.

Today it is rapidly expanding, particularly into international markets.

Whether it's Rubber Trailing Cables, Welding Cables, Tri-Rated, Armoured or Data Transmission Cables you need, Eland's ever-increasing range will contain it.

All Eland's cables are approved to British and international standards and are despatched from the company's state-of-the-art, automated distribution centre in Doncaster.

Visit Eland on Stand E90 to find out more about their commitment to give customers the right product, on time, every time.

With the explosive growth of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), the demand for new equipment and applications has also grown.

It is predicted that, by 2008, traffic from VoIP will exceed normal PSTN traffic, making VoIP a potentially multi-billion pound market.

VoIptech specialises in designing state-of-the-art VoIP equipment, aiming to give users the same experience as with conventional PSTN equipment, whilst at the same time taking the application a stage further.

VoIptech's devices are 'plug and call', requiring no set-up by the user, and offer many new capabilities.

To find out more about the unlimited potential of VoIP, come and see Andreas Tapakoudes and the VoIptech team on Stand E6 at Electrex.

The Electrical and Electronics Industries Benevolent Association (EEIBA) exists to provide help to those in need who have worked in the electrical and electronics industries and any connected or allied industries and sciences (including mechanical engineering) in the UK.

The organisation provides information and advice, as well as material help, and has been doing so for more than 100 years.

The Directors of Electrex are pleased to be welcoming Tim Lambert and his team from EEIBA to the show and they can be found on Stand E68.

Electrex is the leading showcase for the UK's substantial electrical engineering sector and will appeal to electrical engineers, contractors and wholesalers alike.

A comprehensive programme of workshops and seminars is planned to run alongside the show and give added value.

Electrex 06 is backed by the Electrical Distributors Association (EDA), the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and the Electrical Awards 2006.

The show takes place at the Birmingham NEC from 16-18 May.
