Doncasters has made some significant changes within its management structure as it moves to streamline operations and enhance its responsiveness to customer

Doncasters has made some significant changes within its management structure as it moves to streamline operations and enhance its responsiveness to customer needs The group has announced the creation of a Power Systems Division that encompasses its aerospace and land based gas turbine businesses

George Letman takes the role of Divisional Chief Executive - Power Systems, overseeing the activities of this new division.

His prime objectives will be to deliver lean initiatives across his group and position the company to grow market share in anticipation of the cyclical upturn from around 2005.

Letman was previously Divisional Managing Director of Industrial Products, Doncasters' other division.

In the interim, CEO Eric Lewis will assume responsibility for the Industrial Products Division.

In a move to co-ordinate its sales and marketing activities, a new department has been created at the Melbourne, Derbyshire HQ, headed up by Business Development Director, Alistair Schofield.

Co-ordinating the sales and marketing activities in the Industrial Gas Turbine sector is Malcolm Gough, who has transferred from his previous position of Commercial Director at Doncasters Precision Castings - Deritend.

His responsibility will be to grow Doncasters' IGT business building on the strength in technology and product range.

Also within this department, Alan Clark joins the Doncasters Group as Sales and Marketing Director - Aerospace.

He brings 28 years of experience in the aerospace business to Doncasters, having most recently served with Meggitt PLC and Lucas Aerospace in senior sales and commercial roles.

Alan's remit will be to grow Doncasters' aerospace business organically and exploit its broad range of products for gas turbine and airframe applications.

Doncasters is an international manufacturer of highly engineered components for exacting applications with over 25 sites worldwide, including 17 in the UK.

The company's main markets are IGT and aerospace and it also services the medical orthopaedic, specialist automotive and petrochemical industries.

Within the Power Systems Division, Doncasters has the capability to cast, machine and finish a tailored solution to customer requirements direct to their production facilities.
